This Advent season, our community will be embarking on a new tradition by preparing the Lord's manger through acts of service. The Soft Enough for a King box includes a beautiful book that emphasizes how acts of service and love can prepare our hearts for Christmas. It also includes a manger, and a baby Jesus, and strips of “hay” that participants can record their acts of service. This activity is a meaningful and engaging way to celebrate the Advent season at home and in our parish community. Let's shift our focus from the overused "Elf on the shelf" and remind ourselves of the true meaning of Christmas. The box will be available for purchase for $20 on the weekend of November 25th & 26th after all Masses. We have received a large discount on the boxes as a gift to our parishioners. We will all work together to do acts of service and make the manger Soft Enough for a King on Christmas Day when you bring your baby Jesus for a blessing, and then place him in your manger at home.
