Holy Name of Jesus Parishioners care deeply about our God-given world... and, we put that care into action!
Each month, we take action to care for our environment!
Projects include activities like removing trash and debris, tending gardens, installing and/or cultivating native plants and pathways, creating or developing sustainable systems, recycling, and more. We partner with the City of Redlands and area organizations to coordinate projects that will benefit our wider community, too.
When we gather for a project, we root ourselves in prayer, often using materials from Pope Francis'' environmental encyclical, Laudatio Sí. We also provide some environmental education, biodegradeable trash containers, and drinking water. We ask participants to bring your own reusable water containers.
DURING the PANDEMIC, we are following safety protocols. All participants must wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, and practice social distancing. Please care for one another while we care for creation.
All are welcome to participate; ALL MINORS must serve alongside their parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
To sign up for a project, please fill out the registration form for the specific date in question. We will contact you with further details. If you wish to bring minors to a project, please notify us after receiving your first message. We will ask all participants to sign in on the day of the event as well. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU!
